Updates and rollback
New versions of Nucleum Hub arrive inside Home Assistant, like any other update, and you can always go back.
Installing an update
- New versions appear under Settings › Updates, with their release notes. An administrator decides when to install them.
- After the update, “What’s new” opens once, on each screen.
- All versions and their notes are on the releases page.
Going back
Something wrong after an update? In HACS, the integration’s menu (⋮) › Redownload lets you pick an earlier version; then restart Home Assistant. Your setup stays as it is.
Safety copies
- Before any update of its settings format, and before any restore, Nucleum Hub keeps a copy of your setup that you can bring back in one tap.
- Undo, History, Backup and Restore are on the edit bar. A backup is a file you keep yourself.
- Your setup lives in Home Assistant, so your Home Assistant backups include it too.
If the integration stops after a Home Assistant update
- Go back to the previous version of Nucleum Hub, as above.
- Still stuck? Use the emergency file, as at the end of Install: add it in Home Assistant as a “Webpage” dashboard. It reads your setup from Home Assistant, so your screens look as before while we fix the integration. Write to support if you need a hand.
When your year of updates ends
A one-time licence gets new versions for a year. If a version newer than your LTS line is installed when that year ends, the dashboard tells you, and you reinstall your LTS version from HACS. Licence
