Install
Nucleum Hub is a small Home Assistant integration. Install it once, on your Home Assistant, and it appears in the sidebar of every screen. It is one package: the dashboard, its pictures and the integration come together, and you never copy a file by hand.
Before you start
- Home Assistant 2026.3 or newer, on any installation type: Home Assistant OS, Container, Core or Supervised.
- An administrator account, for the install and the first start.
- HACS, if you want the one-click way. Without it, use the zip.
- Internet for Home Assistant when you add the integration: it starts your 60-minute trial with our server.
- Browsers: Chrome / Edge 105+, Safari 16+, Firefox 121+. Not sure about your tablet? Open the demo on it first.
1. Add our repository to HACS
Nucleum Hub is not in HACS’s default list: you add our repository to HACS as a custom repository, once.
- With one click: open Add to HACS with My Home Assistant. It opens your Home Assistant and asks HACS to add our repository; confirm with Add.
- By hand: in HACS, open the menu ⋮ › Custom repositories, paste
https://github.com/iulianmara/nucleum-hub, choose the type Integration and press Add.
2. Download and restart
- In HACS, open Nucleum Hub and press Download.
- Restart Home Assistant: Settings › System › Restart.
3. Add the integration
Settings › Devices & services › Add integration › Nucleum Hub, then Submit. Nucleum Hub appears in the sidebar, on every screen signed in to your Home Assistant, and your 60-minute trial starts: every feature, by the clock, once per Home Assistant installation.
4. Paste your licence key
Bought a licence? Your key comes from us by e-mail, right after payment.
- Open Settings › Devices & services › Nucleum Hub › Configure.
- Paste the key and confirm. Upper or lower case and spaces do not matter.
- The integration activates it online once, then checks it with our server by itself. Keep the e-mail: we keep only a fingerprint of the key.
Homes without internet, moves and the test installation: Licence and activation.
Without HACS: the zip
- Download the zip from the latest release of our repository on GitHub.
- Unzip it into your Home Assistant configuration folder, the one that holds
configuration.yaml. You should end up withcustom_components/wall_dashboard/. - Restart Home Assistant, then follow steps 3 and 4 above.
On Home Assistant OS, open that folder from your computer with the Samba share add-on, or with Studio Code Server. On Container and Core, it is the folder you mounted or set as config. The folder wall_dashboard carries the integration’s technical name; in Home Assistant it shows as Nucleum Hub.
Open Nucleum Hub in the sidebar
Open Nucleum Hub from the sidebar, on an administrator account. The setup assistant takes three steps: your language and a name for the greeting, the pages you want, and what it found in your home (solar, grid, battery, weather, alarm and more), which you can correct. Press Create dashboard.
Your setup is saved in Home Assistant, not in the browser: that is why every screen shows the same, and why your Home Assistant backups include it.
After an update, screens that are already open show a New version button: tap it to load the new version. They never reload by themselves.
On a wall tablet
- The address: open
http://homeassistant.local:8123/nucleum-hub, with your Home Assistant’s address instead ofhomeassistant.local:8123, and sign in once, with “Keep me logged in”. - Fully Kiosk Browser: use the same address as its start URL.
- Without Home Assistant’s sidebar: on the tablet, open your profile (your name, at the bottom of the sidebar) and turn on “Always hide the sidebar”. It applies to that browser only; to turn it off, open
http://homeassistant.local:8123/profileon the tablet.
Phones with the Home Assistant app, and a dashboard of its own for each screen: Companion app and Fully Kiosk.
If your Home Assistant filters outgoing traffic
The integration talks only to api.nucleumhub.com (licence and trial); updates come from GitHub, through HACS. Your screens talk to neither.
Manual install, as a fallback
Only if the integration cannot run, or our support asks you to. The dashboard is one file inside the package: custom_components/wall_dashboard/frontend/wall-dashboard.html.
- Copy it, with the
wall-dashboard-weatherfolder next to it, into thewwwfolder of your configuration folder. If there was nowwwfolder, create it and restart Home Assistant. - Settings › Dashboards › Add dashboard › Webpage, with the address
/local/wall-dashboard.html.
It reads your setup from Home Assistant, so your screens look the same. New versions come only with the integration.
